Maximizing Social Distancing during Covid-19 Pandemic, Kemkominfo in collaboration with DAV

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo) is working together with DAV to launch 1,000 IOT Smart screen machines at various Covid-19 infected zones. With IoT (Internet of Things) capability, the smart machines are currently located various retail locations such as Alfamart, Alfamidi, Dan+Dan and Apotek Kimia Farma in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi, Depok, Bandung, Bali, and Sidoarjo and several other cities.

The objectives is to accelerate the delivery of the right official information from the Government regarding Covid-19, the different applications such as Peduli Lindungi and 10 Rumah Aman, AI-based consulting as well as how to get connected with the official chatbot provided by the government.

At the same time, the machines encourage less direct interaction between cashiers and other visitors when making purchases at retail stores for daily needs, electricity payments, drug purchases, and other spending activities during the social distancing period.

The Collaboration between DAV & Kemkominfo was launched by the Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Johnny G Plate on May 4th 2020.
