Celebrating the new year of 2016, WIR Group held an exciting costume party on March 4 attended by all the business units. Communicating this year’s theme of "Partnership To Multiply", the event has the aim to further strengthening the bond amongst all members while embedding the different personal values as set by both the Board and the Human Capital department. The members were divided into separate groups with each of them given a different value & theme to perform on. The event was also enlivened by guest star singer-guitarist from Singapore, Mr Jun Undag.

Representing WIR Group and its technology units, Daniel Surya & Jeffrey Budiman were invited as one of the key speakers at Slush 2015 in Helsinki, Finland amongst other key speakers such as Niklas Zennstrom (Co-Founder of Skype), Caterina Fake (Co-Founder of Flickr), Prince Daniel (Prince of Sweden), Toomas Hendrik Ilves (President of Estonia), Bracken Darrell (CEO of Logitech) and others.

An event in conjunction with Indocomtech 2015 being one of the largest tech centric event in the capital city of Jakarta, Indonesia – ARTX 2015 introduced the concept of ‘Internet of Things’ through its smart home exhibition. The smart home pavilion accommodates several rooms to display various aspects that can be controlled with a simple push of a button. The event was a big success with 100,000 visitors and reported to various medias such as Jakarta Post, Net TV, CNN Indonesia and many others.

Singularity University is a California Benefit Corporation part university, part think-tank, part business-incubator located in Silicon Valley whose stated aim is to "educate, inspire and empower leaders to apply exponential technologies to address humanity’s grand challenges.” The likes of Stephen Hawking has been working together with the institution to go beyond such as trying to defy gravity. WIR Group has been invited to participate in one of their important events. It was founded in 2008 by Peter Diamandis, Ray Kurzweil and Salim Ismail in NASA Research Park, CA.

Another invitation on the 21st October, to speak at the session ‘VR in Marketing and Branding’: Creativity and innovation are the hallmarks of the early adopters of VR and AR who are engaging their audiences with rich immersive experiences. Presenters will demo exemplary projects and discuss technology, design, client relationships with a new medium and more. Daniel spoke together with Jarratt Carson, Chief Content Officer, Greenfish Labs and Zéluis Teixeira, Chief Operating Officer, Greenfish Labs, a 360° virtual reality experience company.

The biggest 4D Augmented Reality has been carried out with Dancow at Mall Taman Anggrek. The objective is to bring four animal zones to live at the mall.
